I don't regularly follow many blogs, but I do receive a weekly e-newsletter about the children's book publishing industry.  I found this blog entry about Eric Carle particularly fascinating, and the video posted at the end of it moving.  For parents of children who do not like school, for parents of children with learning disabilities . . . this video will help you not lose heart.

My favorite Eric Carle book is The Grouchy Ladybug because it's SO MUCH FUN to read aloud.  "You wanna fight?  YOU'RE NOT BIG ENOUGH!"  So there.
