Summer Reading Information
Everyone who operates on a school-year calendar is counting down the days until SUMMER.
Lucky ducks.
But what would summer be without books?
If you want some fun summer reads, activities, interviews with awesome people such as Julie Andrews (I *love* her! and really want her poetry collection) check out this page from Reading Rockets.
On my current To Be Read list:
Cory Doctorow's For the Win (for Children's Lit)
Joanne Fluke's Blueberry Muffin Murder (third in the series, hoping for good recipes)
Elizabeth Gaskell's Cranford (see below)
R.L. LaFevers' Nathaniel Fludd, Beastologist: The Flight of the Phoenix (a *signed* copy, thanks to Denise & Robin)

My friend Dr. Mari sent me this lovely version of Cranford for my birthday. It *feels* as lovely as it looks, with an embossed fabric cover.
