The 29-Day Gift Giving Challenge
Today is the first day of my attempt at the 29-Day Giving Challenge . Please consider joining me -- it will be more fun if we can share!
My first gift is my hair. At the suggestion of my husband (yes, even more than permission, it was his idea!) I got my hair cut yesterday, and today I'm going to package it up to mail to Locks of Love. To give you an idea of what a dramatic transformation this has been, I give you three photos.
1. Me, with long hair, circa January 2010 (I'm the one on the left). It was even longer yesterday.
2. Me, this morning. Or, if you saw me in 1999 about the time Nephew #1 was born, you might have a deja vu moment.
Okay, so I'm not looking thrilled. This was photo #962, with #1-961 capturing me in various stages of squint. I actually *am* happy with my hair. Giddy, in fact.
3. My donation:
Yes, that's six ponytails taken from various parts of my head.
My husband said, "You must feel liberated." Look at Photo #1 above (he's the one on the right) and repeat after me: "You don't know the half of it."

The new haircut is adorable. It's great to give and still receive something for yourself, like a great new look.
