Day 2 of the 29-Day Giving Challenge
Today I took lunch to my friend Lucy's house.
We ate leftover pasta and Gala apples while her dog Chester gazed at us hopefully. He actually ate apple! She's always said he's a human, really, and after the apple-eating episode, I'm a bit more convinced.
On Day 2 of the challenge, I found myself thinking of what to give, who to give to, and ended up making a list of ideas. (I know, what a surprise.)
I also found myself looking for extra ways to give. I loaned my umbrella to some ladies in my building. I picked up a mint with the pink breast cancer ribbon on the package and thought about women I could give it to.
I'm excited about tomorrow's gift . . . whatever it turns out to be.
Interestingly, random strangers who are doing the challenge (we all register at the Web site), sent me virtual gifts welcoming me to the program, and encouraging me. It was quite nice.
