Sew Sew
My grandmother, "Granny Ninny" loves to sew.
My mother loves to collect quilt fabric and take classes. In fact, we almost finished a quilt top for my bed this past October, but that's all I'll say.
When I was little I *hated* going to the fabric store. It took forever.
When I was in high school, I took extra sewing classes and went through a phase of making my own clothes. It all ended with a disastrous attempt to make a button-down dress with an inset yoke at the waist in a contrasting fabric for the 4-H cotton contest. I spent hours/days/years on it, and then it didn't fit. And the contest involved a fashion show. Thus ended my sewing career.
So, explain to me how I ended up buying 5 fabric make-a-book panels, 2 yards of fabric for an apron, and 4 yards of patriotic print to put with some of Mark's old shirts to make a scrap quilt?
It must be the heat.

You must post photos of the finished products - pretty please!

Mom will be so ticked if you finish a quilt before she does. That ought to be all the motivation you need right there.
