Day 21: Sharing Chocolate
Today I shared Chocolate Highlander Bars with a colleague who drove about 2 hours each way to help me develop a training workshop. It was the perfect snack this afternoon, about the time the usual afternoon torpor sets in. She had one cookie. I ate three. This is just one of the reasons why she is slim and I'm not.
But those cookies sure tasted good.
I also went to the store after work and finally got padded mailing envelopes so all of the books are packed and ready to mail, hurray!

Nothing takes the edge off of a Monday like chocolate. Image via. www.babble.com.
And hey, if anyone local wants a batch of the dough to make the crust of the Chocolate Highlander bars, we can share, because Sarah neglected to read the recipe and put an entire pound of butter in the crust. "It's soooooo buttery!" she exclaimed. "Where is the box of butter that was in the fridge this morning?" I asked, gathering ingredients for the filling. "Duh, it's in here!" she said, and pointed to the dough she was attempting to spread in the pan. "THE WHOLE BOX??" I screeched. (Seriously, I did.) "Well you said this recipe uses a whole box of butter!" "But not in the crust! I need two sticks for the filling!"
So she doubled all of the other ingredients and the unused half of dough is sitting in our fridge. If no one wants it, I'll freeze it until the next time I either crave them or balance the checkbooks, whichever comes first.
