Dreaming Big
I discovered, quite by accident (read: new to Twitter), that the Library of Congress had its National Book Festival last weekend.
You can see a photo essay of sorts from Publisher's Weekly.
I dream of being invited to the National Book Festival someday. Of having to shop for the perfect gown for the gala at the Library of Congress the night before. Of not embarrassing myself while meeting famous authors because I have no idea who they are (except for, in this year's case, Lisa Yee and of course everyone knows Tomie de Paola!). Of having a line of children standing in line because they love my book(s).
If we're going to dream, let's dream big. Do I hear an Amen?

The lovely Lisa Yee will be speaking at the upcoming WIK conference in Birmingham . . . and I'll be there! YAY! (Photo from the photo essay linked above.)
