Poetry Friday and Note to Self

I need to take my own advice & hold tight to my dreams.

In good news, we finally have reliable Internet access at the house again, and a functional laptop, so perhaps getting back to the blog will be easier.

Celebrate Poetry Friday with Irene Latham at Live Your Poem. Be sure to check out her awesome portrait poems!

  1. That IS a special delivery! I like sprinkles of magical thought and soulful questions. I saw Anne Lamott speak earlier this week…she was talking about mercy instead of writing, but your poem reminds me of the way she approaches writing.

    1. She is quite an amazing person — what a generous compliment. Thanks for your encouragement. You’re a true friend! ???❤️

    1. If only I could bottle it up, I’d put it in the type of jar with the “sprinkle” lid!

    1. Your post makes me think of creativity as a sea full of slippery fish we’re trying to catch with our bare hands! Maybe you have inspired a poem seed!

  2. I love your postcard, Keri! And yes, sometimes we give exactly the advice we need most. Glad you got your internet back… wow, that is frustrating. Thinking of you! xo

    1. One of the joys of rural living is the challenge of accessing broadband! Thanks for your continued support, Irene!

    1. Thank you! I was inspired by the New Year’s postcard exchange then fell off the face of the earth for a while!

  3. Yes, yes, yes! Lower the bar and be kind to yourself (and take your own advice, Mary Lee!).

    1. The solidarity of those who need to practice radical self-care! Yes, let’s be as kind to ourselves as we would be to others going through the same experiences!
