While driving to work, I played “Elevation” by U2. Repeatedly. At a very loud volume. Because there is something about this song, this song which makes little sense when you attempt to figure out the lyrics, that makes me happy. That is to say, it elevates my soul. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) I am not a die-hard, “I love everything U2 ever recorded, even the funky stuff when they were hanging large objects from cranes in stadiums when they went on tour” sort of fan. …
