Most of you know I work in media relations for the Office of Agricultural Communications at Mississippi State University. Most of the time I work on stories involving the Extension Service. 4-H is part of Extension. Earlier this month we made our annual trek to capture photos and related information for the Dixie National Sale of Jr. Champions. The short explanation is that for about a week, 4-H and FFA kids exhibit their livestock. The top market animals are sold at an auction, and the meat is donated to charity.
