It’s Poetry Friday! Jone is hosting over at Check It Out!
How fitting that she’s hosting, because today I’m sharing the lovely photo and poem she sent me this summer in the swap.
Curglaff is a fitting word this week, what with all the buckets of ice water going around. I love the little boot she drew, too! Thanks, Jone, for this welcome respite from the Mississippi heat!
Joy Acey sent me this lovely, original postcard, and a wish for my poems to take wing. Such a kind thought! Joy is a prolific poet, and this summer she took a class and created her own book of poems. You’re an inspiration, Joy!
Thank you, Jone and Joy, for sending me art and poetry this summer!
Love the poetry swap. You got some beautiful treasures. Thanks for sharing.
You’re up early (or late!) my friend! I *did* get some treasures. All of our poetry pals are the true treasures!
Curglaff! Who knew there was a word for that feeling?? Must work that into something…
Both of your poems were presented in such a visually appealing way. Food for the eyes!
Have a great weekend!
Thanks for sharing these gems! I learned a new word — Curglaff? Who knew? 🙂
Oh how beautiful. A wishing feather! 🙂
Love that wish!
And I did experience cur glad as I did the ice bucket challenge after I sent the poem off.
So sad to say goodbye to the last of these summer swap poems!
Both poems and poets are gems. Thank you for sharing their gifts with us, Keri. = )
